Carter joins local dental care

Veteran of the United States Navy, Thaddeus Carter, DMD, recently joined Forest Edge Dental Care in Woodland Park.   “In the Navy, I got exposed to all types of procedures, root canals and complicated care,” Carter said. Forest Edge is one of few practices that accept patients who are insured with Medicaid; in addition, the practice is a VA provider and takes insurance based on patients’ PPO plans. Carter acknowledges the anxiety that some people feel about going to the dentist. “By being relatable we allay a lot of those fears,” he said.  “We have the technology and the instruments to be able to render specialty care.” Before arriving in Woodland Park, Carter was a partner in a dental practice in the Kentucky/Ohio area and at one time was the clinical director of a national dental association. At Forest Edge, Carter points to the convenience factor for patients who can save a trip to Colorado Springs for dental care.…
