Well, I guess everything must end eventually. Call of Duty Warzone is officially going to drop support for 8th-gen consoles, i.e., the PS4 and XBOX One, later this year. Warzone has been online on the consoles since 2020, but is now leaving together with future CoD releases. Activision confirmed the news today via a dedicated blog post . Since Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 won’t release on the previous generation of consoles, Warzone will have to follow suit due to its integration process with whichever CoD is currently the latest. “Starting June 4, we will begin reducing the services offered for Call of Duty: Warzone on PlayStation 4 and XBOX One, with support for the game on these platforms coming to an end later this year,” Activision wrote.
