A new Dead Space game will probably never happen because there’s just not enough demand, says former writer and producer Chuck Beaver. Sales started slow but it went on to sell over a million copies and two sequels alongside a handful of spin-offs followed. A fourth Dead Space was planned but the project fell apart following the closure of game developers Visceral Games in 2017. In 2023, ten years after Dead Space 3 , EA released a full remake of the original Dead Space with many fans hoping a new game would follow. “ Dead Space 4 that would make a lot of sense [following the remake] ,” said composer Trevor Gureckis.
