It was only when I finally stopped and took stock of where I was that I noticed how utterly drained I was from fighting my own mind all the time. Then, suddenly, seven days without beating myself up or quietly doubting my own abilities passed by, no tiny little jabs or mental brickbats to be found anywhere. Just a big fat nothing.
