The Star May might be New Zealand Music Month but Kiwi artists are celebrated every week of the year on Oar FM. Certain Sound  radio show is a cross-genre journey outside the mainstream, with a rotating cast of presenters exploring Aotearoa’s burgeoning indie and experimental music scene, its history-makers and less-celebrated pioneers. Oar FM Community Liaison Jeff Harford and Hocken Collections liaison librarian and music curator Amanda Mills share hosting duties with Dunedin musician, artist and music writer Jon Chapman. Both are regular contributors to AudioCulture, a comprehensive online ‘‘noisy library’’ dedicated to documenting New Zealand’s popular music history. Mr Chapman, who relocated to New Zealand from the United States in 2001 having developed an “obsessive” interest in New Zealand’s experimental music scene, said he was all over the place with his tastes.
