An 81-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a crash on a Las Vegas freeway last weekend, according to police.
The Nevada Highway Patrol said the crash occurred just after 5:15 p.m. Saturday on the eastbound 215 Beltway to go to the Interstate 11 northbound flyover on-ramp.
Police said in a news release that the preliminary investigation indicates that a black 2018 Triumph Bonneville T120 motorcycle was traveling in the No. 1 travel lane.
The rider failed to negotiate a curve and traveled right, entering the shoulder and striking a concrete traffic barrier, the release said.
The vehicle overturned and the rider was ejected.
The motorcyclist, identified by police as William Kolb, 81, was transported to a local hospital where he later died.
