I'm curious what others are doing, what are some common trends, and what are some rare and interesting approaches. Corrective EQ, Saturation, Bus Compression, Broad Tonal EQ shaping, Imaging, etc.: Where do you usually put these things in relations to eachother? Are there reasons why you might not put something in front of another (pumping, unwanted distortion, you just like the way it sounds, etc.)? Are you breaking the rules and found something that works that most people don't recommend? What would you recommend to a beginner? What would you recommend to a seasoned old wizard stuck in their ways who wants to try something new? What is a multi-genre desert island fail safe order of processes, not a "mastering chain", but a safe starting point? submitted by /u/Poopypantsplanet [link] [comments]
