Walk for Hunger and Miss My Mama Today was the anniversary of the day my mom passed away....and this year has been the hardest to deal with her being gone since I know she would have been such a help to me and stood by me no matter what.   Everyone always says they love their mom...well, almost everyone, but my mom was truly one of the best people I have ever known.  She was so kind and nice and peaceful.  She encouraged me to be the best version of myself and always saw the best in me.  I truly believe I became a social worker because I saw my mom's kindness and grace towards others and tried my best to do the same.  I've always said that if I could be 1/10 of the woman my mom was...I'd be in a good space.   I love her and miss her to pieces.  I wanted to find a way to honor her and do something productive, active and that would make a difference in the world.…
