I’ve been thinking about how structured trips like those from Memphis Tours fit into an ultralight mindset, especially for places like Turkey where you’re moving between cities and short hikes rather than long backcountry routes.
Most UL setups are built for self supported wilderness travel, but there’s still a weight efficiency angle when flights, transfers, and urban sections are involved.
Running a sub 10 lb base while relying on minimal gear, fast laundry cycles, and no redundancy could make multi stop trips smoother, but I wonder if it removes too much flexibility compared to fully independent travel.
Has anyone here applied ultralight principles to structured or semi guided trips and still kept things efficient without overpacking or losing mobility?
