Especially with how boring customisation has become over the years, Mojang could add continents, world sizes, and biome-scale world types. But I highly doubt that, in the same way that "Customized," buffet, caves, and floating islands got removed. And don't forget how Mojang tried to remove Amplified and Large Biomes during the 1.18 update. Bedrock Edition doesn't seem to be getting Large Biomes or Amplified ever in the future either. It seems that Mojang lets the community make custom world types instead of themselves unless it's a smaller task like single biomes or custom superflat. Continents are a hit for survival island enjoyers, as in recent years and with more changes to generation, it's tougher to find seeds that spawn the player on an island out in the ocean.
