Deep Purple have unveiled the new song “Arrogant Boy” as the lead single from the legendary rock band’s recently announced 24th album SPLAT! , which is set for release on July 3rd. Get Deep Purple Tickets Here The song, which is the opening track of SPLAT! , showcases a rapid-fire riff from Simon McBride mirroring the feel of classic Deep Purple tracks like “Space Truckin'” and “Highway Star.” It also has a proggy instrumental centerpiece including a unison riff between the keys and guitar, some proto-prog late ’60s psychedelia, and a more atmospheric stretch that wouldn’t have been out of place on a Yes album.
