I am a guitarist looking for a bass in the $500 range that I can use for writing and recording my own music, so I can stop relying on synth bass. These two basses are my main contenders, but I'm not sure which one is the better choice. Unfortunately, there are no music stores where I live, so I can't go and try them in person. For some reason, I also haven't been able to find any direct comparisons between these two basses online, so I thought I'd ask here.
