The Most Popular Apparel I Saw Running the Boston Marathon Was Bandit

Bandit was a popular choice for marathoners this spring season. The brand is known for its textured designs and sweat-proof pockets. The Stamina-V Square Neck Run Bra and Striped Cadence Compression Shorts have 10 pockets combined. For a race that should be Tracksmith’s turf (after all, the Hare is Boston-based), there was an unprecedented number of runners at this year’s Boston Marathon wearing Bandit. Considering the amount of storage space the New York City brand’s tops and bottoms have to offer, I can see why Boston participants laid out Bandit’s kits on their beds the night before race day. Though I didn’t race Beantown in Bandit, I tested the brand’s Stamina-V Square Neck Run Bra and Striped Cadence Compression Shorts during training and recently raced in the bra and shorts two weeks post-marathon at a local 5K.
