Hi, nuclear engineer here. I see an enormous amount of money these days going into nuclear startups. Most (all?) of them do not even have a demonstrator and they sell technologies that imho could not be viable at all from an engineering standpoint. Can you try to convince me otherwise? I really do not see the point and this trend seem just a cash grab to me. Or a convoluted scam for investors. I understand the AI hype, but it really takes too long to develop new stuff to justify these investments for the data centers. I was complaining about this also 5 years ago, and still money flows into those "companies". How is this possible? Who is just burning money and is happy with it? Apologies for the weird english but it is not my first language. submitted by /u/GiovanniPeccat1 [link] [comments]
