Recently I got hired by a company and the pay is ok. When interviewing they met me at a coffee shop and not an office or anything. They told me they needed some real estate help and marketing. Anyway I get there and it’s a literal storage container and less than half of the thing is the office. I’m shoulder to shoulder with 2 of them. I’m basically doing customer service calls, so not at all what they promised. The software is 30 years old and insane to navigate. I couldn’t help people even if I tried right now. It’s gonna take weeks to start getting to know this shit. The pay is just ok, I have a degree and tbh I can get a higher pay somewhere else that’s not customer service working out of a storage container. I’m about to start my second week and everyday I feel depressed about going to work in a storage container. Is it ok for me to quit? I’ve never been in a situation like this one. Usually I can stick a job out for a bit, but this is really difficult for me. submitted by /u/satoru-9989 [link] [comments]
