It's a little thing, but I made a shrub drink (a drink syrup made from sugar, fruit, and vinegar) at home this past week because I wanted to try it out. I was able to use leftover fruit and herbs that might have gone off otherwise to make the syrup, and I used and old pasta sauce jar to store it. The recipe said to discard the fruit once the cold mastication process was finished but I've been eating it over oatmeal for breakfast instead and it's tasted great.
