Disabled Gardening by Using Perennials-it's working!

I don't have many people who will understand IRL so I'm sharing here. I love gardening, but have a hard time with it because I am physically disabled from a connective tissue disorder. Doing a traditional vegetable garden always results in me getting injured (and then taking 3 months to recover) or subluxating something.

I've slowly been adding perennial plants to my garden. While it is an overgrown mess and some things died, my lovage, sage. strawberries, a couple blueberry bushes, cat mint, Egyptian walking onions, valerian, chamomile, mountain mint, and ramps all survived or are even thriving.

I'm really excited that I can help feed my family, attract pollinators, and actually garden without damaging my body as much.

P.s. If anyone has any suggestions for perennials vegetables/herbs/etc please let me know!
