I’m planning a 5 day backpacking trip to Isle Royale where it is most likely going to be mid 40s overnight. I have an Kelty Cosmic 40 from about 2018 that weighs 32oz that im planning on using, but I’m looking for something lighter. The Naturehike is 20oz and is 75” by 28” rectangle with full zip and cinch neck and rated to 52F. Around $60. The homemade quilt will be around 20oz as well and will be 72” by 30” with a sewn footbox and a cinch neck and Climashield Apex 3.6 is rated to 40F. Around $60. I would prefer the Naturehike because it’s ready to go and full zip. But I’m not sure if it will be warm enough. My sleeping pad is 25” wide and is R6.2. I will be wearing thermal base layers while sleeping as well as a beanie.
