French drain between garage and driveway for under-slab drainage I recently dug up my buried downspout system because it was not done right (no catch basins, no access to any of it for maintenance, exited below the water line into my pond which caused it to freeze in the Michigan winters and had several cracks when I dug it up). Upon doing so, I found that the sump pump was tied into this system, as was a black corrugated pipe that is peeking out from under the garage floor. This is what I'm here to ask about. It was previously haphazardly connected to a pvc pipe which had been slit and squished together to make it smaller, then that was stuffed into the black pipe (which is somewhat crushed - at least smushed down an inch or so). That PVC pipe went under the asphalt into a small concrete block, and then ran out to the side of the driveway, and the driveway was heaved up about 3" over this run. I'm comfortable re-doing the buried downspout system, but this pipe under the garage is a monkey wrench.…
