I got ableton 10 from my ex for free (she had a code from when she was in school.) Im recording guitar, acoustic drums, and bass. Im not using and Midi stuff or sampling or anything. I’ve been enjoying it. Having lots of fun making demos and it’s pretty intuitive (i’m sure others can do magic with this program, i’m just happy i’ve learned some. I’ve never been very computer savvy) Ive gotten sort of used to ableton, never watched any videos or taken classes. I’m just going off of a life playing music and what Ive seen engineers and sound guys do when Ive played venues/recorded in home studios. And Ive read that ableton is sort of geared towards people making electronic music. Im about to do a research dive into using a DAW and home recording and was wondering if anyone had a suggestion on DAW to invest time into. Is there a better DAW for me? Thanks! Deleted this if it’s not the sort of post that should be here. submitted by /u/andytherobot666 [link] [comments]
