Last night at Chicago's Thalia Hall, Red Hot Chili Peppers mainstay Flea began his tour to promote his first solo album Honora, which came out in March. It seemed like a fun, funky affair. He played bass. He played trumpet. He gleefully swung his arms and legs. He did not celebrate the 20th anniversary of Stadium Arcadium.

The entire new album had its live debut: "Traffic Lights," "Frailed," "Morning Cry," "Golden Wingship," "A Plea," "Free As I want To Be," and "Lovelovelove." Flea also did the covers featured on Honora: Jimmy Webb's "Wichita Lineman," Frank Ocean's "Thinkin Bout You," and "Maggot Brain" by Funkadelic.
