We have three young kids, and booked an Airbnb two hours from home. After the first sleepless night, we decided to pack it in and head home. "I don't think this is a good idea," I reiterated to my husband when he announced that he had booked an Airbnb in the Outer Banks, NC, for our family of five. "It's going to be fine," my husband soothed — ever the optimist. "I want to make memories with our family. Margo, come see where you're going to sleep on our vacation!"
