It was a rough week at Comerica Park for the Detroit Tigers as they look to improve their brand of baseball on the road against the Kansas City Royals beginning Friday night. So far this season, Detroit holds a 6-14 record on the road, an area in which they succeeded more in 2025. Things couldn't get worse for the Tigers this weekend, given the week they've had, but it could if the players and coaches don't attack this road trip seriously. The best way for the Tigers to get back on the right track is by getting production from all of their stars. Riley Greene and Kevin McGonigle have been leading the Detroit offense recently, though McGonigle has started to cool off after an impressive month of April.
