Marcus Theatres, the fourth largest movie theater chain stateside following AMC, Regal and Cinemark, has found its new chief in a longtime executive. The Milwaukee-based exhibitor has named Jeffry F. Tomachek as president, succeeding Mark A. Gramz who had spent 55 years with the company before formally retiring at the end of March. Tomachek is a relative newcomer to Marcus comparably, he’s only been with the theater chain for three decades, most recently serving as CFO of the company. Marcus Theatres operates 985 screens at 78 locations in 17 states and has been viewed as more financially insulated from box office downturns given it’s housed in a parent company with large real estate holdings (vs. leasing large numbers of theater locations in pricey locales).…
