Retrospective: Using Svelte 5.0 for 6 Months – Did It Improve Our Frontend Productivity? When Svelte 5.0 launched in October 2023, we were eager to test its promise of streamlined reactivity, smaller bundle sizes, and improved developer experience. Our 4-person frontend team decided to adopt it for a new mid-sized e-commerce dashboard project, committing to a 6-month trial. Here’s what we learned after half a year of production use. Our Trial Setup We built a customer-facing dashboard with features including order tracking, inventory management, and real-time analytics.
