NYPD officers were called into a domestic dispute in Ozone Park, Queens, and saved the residents from their home that caught on fire without having fire-protection gear on them. Several officers on Thursday rushed back into a building where they’d been injured in a massive explosion to get civilians out to safety. Police were at a home’s front door, responding to a 911 call of a domestic dispute involving a man with a knife and perhaps flammable liquid, when a sudden explosion threw several of them off their feet and into a gate. Undeterred, the cops got right back up — despite their injuries and lack of fire-protection gear — and headed straight into the home to save residents, even as the flames grew more intense.
