The website offers maps and descriptions of singletrack in the region, and most notably, updates on the conditions of the trails. But the plan is to shut the site down on May 31, as the four friends who started it say they are ready to move on. They are looking for a buyer to keep the site going, but it seems likely the site will go dark by the end of the month. “We all have day jobs, of course, and other things that we’re interested in doing,” said Bend’s Robert Rekward, one of the founders and owners of bendtrails.org. “It’s kind of reached the end of what makes it challenging for us.” In 2016 Rekward and wife Val started the site with Bend friends Joe Myers and Troy Arnold, all of whom work in advertising, not really knowing what to expect.…
