Vernon Kay and Tess Daly hosted together for first time in 20 years just months before split

Vernon Kay and Tess Daly made their first hosting appearance together in 20 years, just months before the couple announced their split.

On 25 February, the couple presented The One Show together and interviewed the likes of Jessie Buckley, Maggie Gyllenhaal and the cast of Bridgeton.

“Look who we have here,” said Kay as he indicated to co-host Daly. “Someone who will definitely keep me in check,” he laughed.

On Friday (8 May), the couple announced they have separated after 22 years of marriage.

In a joint statement, they said the decision was not easy but they remain “great friends” who are fully committed to their roles as “loving and supportive” parents.
