The only punishment from the end of Saturday’s Game 4 in Minneapolis came in the form of fines.
The NBA announced Nuggets star Nikola Jokic was fined $50,000 for starting the altercation after Jaden McDaniels scored in the final seconds of an already-decided game. Jokic jogged to confront McDaniels after the Timberwolves’ wing made a layup with the outcome secured, which set off a brief tussle.
Minnesota’s Julius Randle was fined $35,000 for escalating the situation and shoving Bruce Brown, according to the NBA’s release. Jokic and Randle were ejected from the game, but they’ll be back on the court with slightly lighter wallets on Monday.
Players from each team lft the bench and got near the entanglement, but none acted in a manner deserving a suspension after the NBA reviewed the footage.
