The Golden State Valkyries have had a fantastic start to their time in the WNBA. Most women's basketball fans expected the Valkyries to be a bottom-dweller in the league standings during their first season in 2025. Yet, the team finished with a 23-21 record and advanced to the WNBA playoffs. What's more, the franchise cultivated a passionate and loyal fan base that showed up en masse to all of their home games at San Francisco's Chase Center. But the most telling aspect of their success is that they're the league's most valuable franchise, being valued at $850 million. This is $250 million more than the second-most valuable franchise (the New York Liberty) and $350 million more than what Golden State was valued at last year.
