I unfortunately did not exercise proper caution and didn’t research QOTOM beforehand. I bought a Mini PC Q31500VT S18 Series directly from the manufacturer. I needed to connect a SATA drive using the cable that came in the box. After connecting a SATA SSD, the mini PC stopped booting. I assumed the SSD had failed — just a coincidence, I thought. I tried a second SATA SSD that had been lying around for a long time — same result. On the third attempt, this time with a 2.5" HDD, the mini PC stopped powering on completely. I tested all the drives separately — they were all fully functional. I contacted QOTOM support. They asked me to send a photo of the adapter. After receiving the photo, they claimed that the “adapter is not the right one” and that it “damaged the motherboard.” However, this adapter was exactly the one that came in the box. After I pointed this out, they stopped responding. In the end, I had to write off the device as a loss and lost a significant amount of money.…
