So I kind of splurged and impulsively got a Sterling StingRay Bass as my first ever bass and while it’s absolutely gorgeous I have a bit of a dilemma. I probably should have done more research, but my main goal on the bass is to play Beatles songs and music like that, but although this bass sounds great, it’s very punchy and I am starting to think I made the wrong choice. Pardon my ignorance in all of this especially since I don’t even know how to play well yet, do you guys think I should exchange it for something different? While I do love it and would hate to have to do that playing that music would be very important to me! And if I should switch it what is something (short-scale) that will sound really good with that but also be versatile. (I also am having some issues with the tone if someone has the same bass and can help) I would appreciate your guys’ opinion on this all this!
