ESAB Handy Arc 1/8 I have been wanting a more portable welder for the rare occasions when I need to weld something away from my 240V welder. I didn't want to do an engine driven welder since it's much more than I need and too expensive. The cheapo Amazon stuff I was suspect of, but since this little guy was made by ESAB I figured it might be alright. And it only cost $155 so why not. Pros: It's actually very capable, my less than stellar welding skills aside. My father in law needed his tractor bucket repaired, and I was able to do all the welding pictured in one session, using 3/32 6011 with the machine turned up almost all the way. It never once stopped or needed a break. And that was all on 120V power. About 1/8 inch steel, very rusty too. Being able to use 120V and have it actually work well is nice. It's extremely small, I think like 6lbs. Easy to carry in a bag with my other gear, in fact everything I needed including the welder fit into a backpack.…
