In 2025, players took things to the next level with the celebratory 'Resurgence Day' event , which aimed to show the powers that be that there's a big enough interest in more Battlefront and generated enough attention to be picked up by games media and industry figures. This year, 'Resurgence Day' is making a return on 23rd May, and ahead of it, yesterday's Star Wars-themed May the 4th celebrations have already boosted the player count on Steam. At the time of writing, Battlefront 2's 24-hour peak sits at 9,383 on Steam alone (players are also active on the EA App and consoles), a marked improvement over the 2k-3k averages of the past few months. We have to go back to the early January post-Christmas period to find another decent peak of around 5,600 players on Steam.…
