Published 12:21 pm Thursday, April 23, 2026 Central Oregon Community College’s annual fun runs are coming up: the four-mile Jungle Run at 5:30 p.m. May 7 and the two-mile 465-step Storm the Stairs at 5:30 p.m. May 19. Both races serve as scholarship fundraisers and are free for COCC students. They are $15 plus processing fees for other runners. All entrants will receive a T-shirt and dinner. Day-of registration is $20. There will be prizes for both events and registration is at cocc.edu/sports. The Jungle Run is a two-mile loop which can be run once or twice. The course features mud bogs, log bridges and several sharp ascents and descents. It begins at the Mazama track. Storm the Stairs is a challenging two-mile run and walk. It begins at the Mazama track and navigates 465 stairs up, down and around the Bend campus, including through buildings.
