Direct Relief has provided a further 15.9 tons of medicines and medical supplies for patients in Gaza, where field hospitals and primary health care sites are treating thousands of people with urgent and ongoing medical needs. Medications include treatments for chronic diseases, bacterial and parasitic infections, and maternal and prenatal health needs. The shipment also includes oral rehydration salts, protective and sanitation items, and specialized medicines used in advanced hospital care. For patients, the arrival of aid means medicines and supplies are available to help control diabetes, manage blood pressure, treat infections, stabilize breathing, and support healthy pregnancies.
