Back to back bike->swim workout just felt incredible I am following an 80/20 training plan, and due to life stuff ended up doing a bike interval session immediately prior to a swim interval session. In this instance, I was nicely warmed up which made the initial swim warmup feel easy, and my performance did not suffer on the hard swim intervals (if anything it felt a bit easier to put out similar times). I do the bike interval day on a spin bike because it's a bit simpler to follow the structure than on the local roads. In practice this meant that I was already at the rec center, just popped down from the gym, had a quick shower then into the pool. So by doubling up it saved me a drive! I have tried some other combinations like weights before/after bike intervals, running after swimming, and of course bricks. But this was a new thing and i'm so surprised that swimming performance wasn't compromised.…
