Man left with life-threatening injuries after car crashes into ‘multiple pedestrians’ in town centre

A man has suffered life-threatening injuries after a car hit multiple pedestrians in a town centre in the early hours of Saturday morning. Nottinghamshire Police said the incident involved a red Vauxhall Astra and occurred in Market Place, Arnold, at 1.12am on Saturday. A number of people were struck by the car, with one of the victims sustaining life-threatening injuries. The vehicle was abandoned at the scene following the incident, with the driver then fleeing on foot, police stated. Officers have identified a suspect – believed to be a white man – and are in the process of tracking him down.
