Vinesh Phogat met Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) president Sanjay Singh in Gonda on Monday but was unable to get an entry into the Open National Ranking tournament after the federation issued a show-cause notice to her on Saturday. The wrestler spoke to Nihal Koshie on why she thinks the WFI is dictatorial, why they are afraid of her returning to the mat, how her 10-month-old son gives her the motivation to take on the system, and why she is ready for a long fight in her quest to be at the 2028 Olympics.
