Hey everyone, been dealing with something that's driving me mad and wanted to get some outside opinions. We publish a page, it climbs to page one within a few weeks, we're happy, then a month or two later it just drops off. Not a penalty, no manual action, it just slides back down. The content is solid. We do proper research, include images, cite sources, structure it well. It's not thin content or anything spammy. We've seen this pattern across a few different client sites now so it doesn't feel like a one-off. Has anyone else dealt with this consistently? Is it a freshness thing, do we need to go back and update these pages more regularly? Could it be a link profile issue like the page ranks without many backlinks and then Google reassesses it? Or is there something else entirely I'm not thinking about? Would love to hear what's worked for you when you've had this happen. Cheers submitted by /u/hholangi [link] [comments]
