Canterbury National Road users are warned to take care due to surface flooding, slips and rockfall after bad weather hit Canterbury, the West Coast and Central Otago. While the rain has eased and MetService has lifted its weather warnings, NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi said area warnings remain in place this morning, a spokesman advised. In Christchurch, significant surface flooding has been reported this morning on State Highway 74/Anzac Drive, north of Wetlands Grove, and caution was urged for those travelling on this route.
