Now that I have been in Lisbon for several years, I feel grateful for the decision I made back in 2018. Nevertheless, if I went back in time, I would do a few things differently. So, I want to share the mistakes I made when I first moved to Lisbon, in the hope that others won't repeat the same mistakes. Here are some of the things I would have done differently: Mistake 1: Thinking that I could flat hunt before arriving in Lisbon I was scammed. Luckily, and after a lot of negotiations with the bank, I got my money back. It was a nerve-wracking experience, though. Those who scammed me acted hesitant about giving me their precious apartment as they hadn't met me in person. It was me who tried convincing them of how reliable I am.
