RNZ Life reporters  New Zealand food magazine  Cuisine  has dropped award-winning restaurant Amisfield from its esteemed food guide, following at least five complaints about executive chef Vaughan Mabee. ODT EDITORIAL/SUBSCRIBER: Taking toxicity out of the kitchen News broke late last week that Mabee had resigned from the award-winning Arrowtown restaurant while an independent investigation was carried out into alleged misconduct spanning verbal abuse to alleged assault. Amisfield was awarded Restaurant of the Year and the highest rating - three hats - at the 2025 Cuisine Good Food Awards. It was named Restaurant of the Year in 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023. Mabee took out the Innovation Award twice and was named the 2019 Chef of the Year.…
