Location: Indiana So I hired a demolition company to tear down an old mobile home on my property. The original deal: total tear down, burn what can be burned, take off the other stuff. $2,000. Half up front followed by 2 payments of $500 (bi weekly payments) It has now been roughly 30 days since they began the project. In those 30 days they have spent maybe 4 8 hour days on my property working on the demolition. A couple days ago, the owner messaged me asking for an additional $500 per working day moving forward. I told them the deal was $2,000 for a completed job, which I currently have a half demolished mobile home and a HUGE mess all over my property. I have currently paid them $1,500/$2,000 per the payment plan established. Do I have an obligation to go ahead and pay off the $2,000 as part of my end of the bargain, or just call it a lesson learned and refuse to pay further since I now have to either complete the labor myself or hire a second company? Do they have any recourse against me for not paying?…
