Hello. Having multiple issues with new build. One being a room that's very hot in summer. Cold in winter. Had all my attic insulation removed. Having HVAC duct work redone.

The soffetts are clear, open and baffeled. Excuse spelling...

Insulation and HVAC people suggested having a roofer check the ridge vents. Well...they were never cut open.....

How hard or easy is it to miss cutting the ridge vent (s)???

edit. the caps are on, but no cuts were made.......it looks normal from the street. its my understanding this goes against code an is a huge issue. any help appreciated. apologies if this is the wrong sub. thanks.
