Garrett Haake has been named NBC News ‘ chief White House correspondent, filling a key role for coverage of the Donald Trump administration. He will succeed Peter Alexander, who recently left the network to serve as anchor for MS NOW. In a memo to staffers, Chloe Arensberg, NBC News’ Washington bureau chief, wrote, “Garrett has been an essential voice in our White House coverage, bringing sharp reporting, deep sourcing and an authoritative presence to some of the most consequential stories of our time.
