Dryer slow to dry I inherited my electric dryer from the previous homeowner when I bought the house. I think it's at least 10 years old, and is probably outdated in terms of efficiency. I can't figure out if the slowness when drying is due to the age of the dry and/or vents being clogged. How can I confirm/disprove it's the latter before investing in a new dryer? The vent system has a few different segments so it's hard to see what's happening unfortunately... I can provide a video later when I get the chance, but it essentially goes into the wall with a rigid segment and then there's another horizontal rigid segment parallel to the wall to a utility closet, where it transitions to a visible flexible section which goes vertically upward and out the exterior wall right above ground level (the dryer is in the basement below ground). The flexible section is easily disconnectable, but idk how hard it'd be to put together, but perhaps that's a good starting option to see if it's clogged there?…
