It’s well established that recovery is a huge part of an efficient training block. Structured stretching , foam rolling , and targeted percussive massaging go a long way in soothing aching joints and muscles. However, the easiest way to get a jump on relief is slipping into a pair of recovery shoes . They immediately provide support for tired feet after intense interval training or your weekend-long run. Personally, recovery slides are the way to go: they slip on and kick off easily, let your feet breathe, and are a solid summer footwear option. I wholly agree with Editor (and 10-time Boston Marathon finisher) Amanda Furrer that the Hoka Ora slides are the best you can get, but there’s a budget pair that thoroughly impressed me— Crocs Mellow Recovery Slides .
