23, $70k salary- Building Wealth from Scratch Hi everyone, I’m 23 (F) and trying to get serious about building wealth, but I didn’t grow up with much financial guidance and have been on my own since I was 17, so I’m learning everything as I go. I was always a good saver, but last year I went through a rough period financially and ended up falling off track, which led to some credit card debt that I’m now working on paying down. I started a new job in January making $70k a year, and after taxes and my 401k contribution, I’m taking home about $4,600 a month. Right now I’m contributing 6% to a Roth 401k. I’m also in a pretty fortunate position where I don’t currently have rent (partner in military) or a car payment( I was smart at 18 and paid cash), so I know I have a big opportunity to get ahead if I make the right decisions now. My credit card debt is under $10k at this point, and based on my current plan, I should have it fully paid off by the end of June.…
