What began as a firmly rooted colorway linked to an archival Chanel design has now become a tsunami of incoming palette swaps, building off of the original “Warm Brown” and its subsequent “Burgundy” with a host of reinterpreted variations that keep the embellishments of the OG at the center. Though just those two pairs have hit the scene, this update now makes four confirmed pairs in the can, with the “ Oatmeal ,” “ Orange ,” and “ Navy ” all predating this news. The Vans Old Skool 36 “Souvenir” in black breaks from the latter two, obviously, by opting for a dimmer profile in contrast to their vibrant reformattings. Trademarks of the series like the boucle Sidestripe, distressed soles, and charmed-up side panels remain in place.
